A Scholarly & Analytical Study of Religious Books & Compilations by Dr. Siraj-ul-Islam Hanief

Abstract

Maulana Dr Siraj-ul-Islam Hanief is an Islamic Scholar, hailing from a historical village of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) named Hussai located on Rustam road via Shahbza Garhi district Mardan. One of the salient features of his personality that distinguishes him from other Ulama is his research-oriented nature. In Islamic Studies, his speciality (interest) is in Tafsir and Hadith, specifically Fan Asma Al-Rijal and Jarh Wa Tadeel. He has authored and compiled more than 50 books. Beside Tafsir, Fiqh and many other topics, most of his books deals with Hadith and its various aspects. Out of which 38 books have been published till date. He has also served as Theology & Arabic Teacher in Education Department, KP, as Lecturer Islamic Studies in Higher Education Department, KP and as Assistant Professor of Islamic Studies at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.  Though, Dr Siraj has enormous contributions in the filed of Islamic Studies but very little number of people know about him. This paper presents a scholarly and analytical study of his books & compilations for information, access and facilitation of research scholars in Islamic Studies.
